Cyberbarn - Front page of the Herald

I've read this out loud twice today already to people in Warcop. Whilst cheering. It's such good news!

However, it has dawned on me that both the journalist and I may know too much about the subject - does it make sense what we have here now? If not, the new Cyberbarn really needs you to get involved.

You may hate computers and not see why they are needed. Please tell us why. You may love them ,but they never work as you wish. Please get in touch so we can help you and you can help us Do IT.

Cyberbarn has been funded to help this village have the computer club and training so many people have asked for. Now, it's here! Almost.
.
I hope that we can persuade you to overcome any confusion and join us in the Cyberbarn to try out this fantastic new facility.

But, we are only part way there, and suddenly one of your newest Parish Councillors has found herself the potential project manager of a building site - Grand Designs, come on down. OK, I've been told it's not a building at all, but to a computer fiend anything involving breeze blocks instead of mice is out of my comfort zone!

Now we have the money, we seriously need help from the village to make this better. You cannot begin to imagine what skills we need right now (I know I am struggling as your project manager to work this through!) so if you have time on your hands, then please drop by Croft House and volunteer your skills.

I can pretty much guarantee that there is something that you can do to help make this work. Whether it's making coffee and cakes, painting, laying lino, writing an ad for The Way, or just talking to the team as we work on the Cyberbarn, we need the village to help out please.

Our aim is to get the Cyberbarn open from October onwards for Get Online Week and with your help in the village, we know we can.
